Summer Handbag Essentials

Love London

I'm pleased to see the sun has finally decided to show itself, but with it comes a whole other host of dilemmas I'm not yet prepared for. What to wear that's summery yet office appropriate (note to self - not shredded denim hotpants...), what make up will stay in place during your sweaty commute and how to stay generally cool and stylish when you feel like you're melting.

So for today's quick lunchtime post I am sharing some of my summer handbag essentials (all of which were picked up from Boots on recent lunch breaks...).

Summer generally means better skin, a healthy glow and a need for less make up; usually just a few key pieces can get me through the summer months. Number 1 is the new Boots No7 Summer of Dreams Bronzer. The perfect colour for a sun-kissed glow (especially at the start of the season when you haven't had a chance to build up a tan) it has a gorgeous coral and gold shimmer coating that blends together for a hint of shimmer. (£13.00).

Number 2 is the Chanel Levres Scintillantes lip gloss in Glossimer. If you have never owned a Chanel lip gloss I urge you to buy this one. A stunning pale coral shade with a subtle hint of glitter, it's non-sticky and leaves your pout shimmering with sultry perfection. A great summer alternative to lipstick. (£20.00)

Number 3 is the No7 Fanomenal Mascara (£12.95, available from 13th June) which provides volume without clumping for fuller lashes - my beauty holy grail. The helix shaped brush is made up of alternating discs to allow mazimum comb-through to ensure lashes are separated and lengthened.

Number 4 is Barry M's Dazzle Dust. Available in every shade under the sun, I love the bronze tones for sultry summer eyes, and bolder rainbow shades look fab at festivals. Using a tiny bit as an eyeliner really makes your eyes pop, and the tiny pot lasts forever. (£4.59)

Finally I was altogether too happy to find that Diet Coke has launched a mini 375ml bottle - hurrah! Bigger than a can (obvs) but smaller than the traditional 500ml, it's just the perfect handbag/lunchtime picnic size, just what you need straight from the fridge on a day like today - plus I always find the 500ml just a little too much to drink before it goes warm. (89p).

Enjoy the sun lovelies!
