London is a wonderful place to visit. There is much to see, and lots to do. Lots of theatre productions and performances take place in London. I visit them from time to time, when I have the chance. It is always a lovely evening out. When I plan to visit London, I take a look on the internet to see if there are interesting performances or plays. Most of the times you have to book way before you go, and plan a trip around the theatre visit. But sometimes you find something that is worth a visit. The Little Angel Theatre is a place like that. Growing up, I saw a lot of puppet shows on TV and sometimes I was lucky to visit the puppettheatre in my hometown.

I was fascinated by the puppets, stories and music. One of the most famous puppeteer was the American Jim Henson, who created the Muppets and Sesamestreet. He was one of the people that got me interested in this kind of art form. I mentioned the Little Angel Theatre earlier in this blog, and I found them while looking for something nice for a next visit to London. They started in 1961 in Islington, and that is where they still are. I was amazed by what I found on their website, and really want to visit them on a next visit to London. Puppetry is something that is close to my heart and The Little Angel Theatre bring you lots of interesting puppetry. Recently they made their own adaption of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Instead of people, the characters are all birds. They had their press night yesterday and the reviews were very good. If you are interested, you can see Macbeth untill the 5th of November.

Macbeth is also a part of the Suspense Festival. That is held every 2 years 25 October to 3 November this year), and is a puppeteer festival in London. It attracts puppeteer companies and fans from all over the world. If you are in London and like to see something different, this is your chance. I hope to visit this festival on a visit to London. The Little Angel Theatre is on the top of my list of must sees for sure. Ofcourse I keep you all posted on my visit to the Little Angel Theatre on a next trip to London.
