Regent Street's V&A Pop Up This Sunday

Love London

There's an exciting new pop up shop coming to Regent Street this Sunday as it collaborates for the first time with the Victoria and Albert Museum in a celebration of fashion as part of Summer Streets.

For the first time Regent Street is hosting an internationally acclaimed museum with a reputation for fashion exhibitions to come and be part of London’s West End. Their hugely successful and most recent exhibitions being The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 and Wedding Dresses 1775-2014.

On 20 July, Regent Street is providing a one-off shopping opportunity and a specially curated day of fashion activities that will take place in the V & A’s Fashion Pop-Up in the Quadrant Arcade as part of its Summer Streets series of events, when the street is closed to traffic every Sunday in July.

David Shaw, Head of the Regent Street Portfolio at The Crown Estate said; “The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world's leading museum of art and design with outstanding fashion collections. For Regent Street's first partnership of this sort we could not have been chosen by a better partner. We are excited to be working with the Victoria and Albert Museum on their first pop-up shop in the West End which will add so much to our Summer Streets events running every Sunday in July.”

Other Summer Streets activities taking place on 20 July include live performances from Tiempo Libre, The Notables and the Fabulous Lounge Swingers on the Camper Van Stage, and a fashion catwalk down Regent Street offering budding models and fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to show off their own style and experience being part of a professional runway show.

Regent Street has recently added more international brands to their portfolio including Karl Lagerfeld and J Crew. The largest watch store in the UK will launch when Watches of Switzerland open their doors in coming weeks, and in autumn 2015 Michael Kors will open its first flagship store in the UK. The new West End location will be the brand’s largest store in Europe.
