New York socialite Olivia Palermo has come a long way since her days interning at Dian von Furstenberg in MTV show The City (which FYI, I absolutely ADORED every second of...) and in recent years has undoubtedly become one of the planet's most stylish young ladies. In was inevitable that at some point she would turn her hand to a fashion collection as, let's be honest, there are a million women around the world who covet her style and drool over her every outfit post (me included).
The news therefore that Palermo has collaborated on a new footwear collection with Italian cult brand Aquazzura was duly welcomed. The exclusive capsule collection of six styles, available in 12 selected stores worldwide from September and exclusively online at Net-a-Porter.
Created after hours spent in Palermo's closet and the archives of Edgardo Osorio, Aquazzura's designer, the collection combines his modern vision of luxury and trademark attention to detail, mixed with her innate sense of style and art of mixing accessories. The six designs include elegant over the knee suede boots; statement jewel sandals, with crystal ornaments inspired by one of Olivia’s vintage Victorian necklaces; metallic leather sandals featuring an ingenious architecture which creates the impression of a never ending leg; laced-up gladiator sandals perfect for fashion week or dancing the night away; a perfect everyday suede and snake pump and the suede bootie (made with Aquazzura’s patented, ultra-soft cashmere leather) that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.
