London Dog Blog – You and your dog in a London Documentary?

Dogs in London - The London Dog Blog

Shaggy dog story with a London twist? Pet with potential to be a London Lassie?

Conservative estimates indicate that there are 8.5 million dogs in the UK – that’s one in every four households. So with 3.3m households in London we could estimate that there are 825,000 dogs in our capital. Another study showed that 39% of London’s pet owners purchase their pet for companionship, despite living in the UK’s highest populated city.

The Garden Productions is making a documentary (or should that be dogumentary?) for Channel 4 about the varied and differing lives of dogs (and their owners) in London. And they are keen to hear from people whose dogs play a big part in their lives – whether you are in a really good place or having a tougher time.

As it happens, they have already spoken to us here at www.allinlondon.co.uk about Alfie who visits dog-friendly London locations for the blog – and with my teen daughter with whom he spends a lot of his time here at home.

Please get in touch with Gussy Sakula-Barry on 020 7620 6778 or email her at [email protected] if you would like to share your London dog story. They will be filming during August and September.
