Total Diet Food? Totally Tasty...

Love London

Last week I was very kindly offered the opportunity to try out a diet food delivery service and whilst initially somewhat sceptical, I'm pretty darn glad I said yes...

I have tried a food delivery service once before and, while very tasty, I did find it somewhat restrictive. Whilst they are undoubtedly great for the cash rich and time poor, being something of a fussy eater I didn't really appreciate the dishes that arrived with no prior knowledge of the menu, only to discover they were full of things I don't really eat.

[b]Total Diet Food[/i] however couldn't be more different. Beloved by A-listers, they cater a tailor-made food plan to your specifications, designed in conjunction with a nutritionist and chef.

The options are endless; whether delivering to clients with severe allergies or intolerances, celeb models on a cleanse, a post-surgery recovery plan, a calorie-controlled weight loss diet, gluten free, high protein - whatever your requirements they can cater to your needs. Calorie requirements are calculated from your height and weight and food is then cooked fresh daily and delivered in a cool bag to your doorstep overnight; a pleasant change from the companies who have a pre-set menu every week and deliver in bulk on a Sunday. Not sure about you but I certainly don't have room in my shared fridge for a week's worth of meals...

In a bid to get myself eating healthier in general, as well as losing a few much needed pounds pre-Ibiza next month, I've chosen a 1500 calorie a day plan, asking to omit the foods I don't eat (red meat, mushrooms, coriander, chilli) - though I felt like a bit of a diva asking for it ("coriander just ruins entire meals for me"...) but they were find to cater to my demands! I was mildly terrified that 1500 calories for three meals and two snacks wasn't going to be enough and leave me starving, but Total Diet Food is proof that when you're eating the right calories you needn't worry; the only time I'm finding myself hungry is at the end of the day when I'm definitely ready for dinner.

The meals I've encountered so far have been nothing short of delicious, mouthwatering recipes, full of fresh vegetables, lean protein, pulses and tasty dressings. I'm going to save the details of what I've been eating for my second post once I've finished in a couple of days... so stay tuned to find out more!
