No Tricks, Just Treats

Love London

This year's vanished before my very eyes so swiftly I've only just realised Friday is Halloween. Yes I know, a bit slow on the uptake...

Whereas usually I would be donning my finest and heading out to a party or three, I'm actually not partaking this year (BOO! HISS!) as I'm at a gig on Friday night and a 30th Birthday on Saturday. Nevertheless, being the kind generous soul I am I'm sharing some of my Halloween picks with you anyway, lest you still be stuck for an outfit, so you needn't sacrifice your style for something scarily bad this year.

The ubiquitous witch costume is a fail safe classic. Vamp it up a bit this year with the Tarot Black Leather Booties (£620) from Jerome C. Rousseau. I'm getting an Eva Green in The Golden Compass kind of vibe...

I'm not going to delve into Halloween make up how-tos; there are a million beauty bloggers out there who do it much better than I ever could (check out Vivianna Does Makeup and Lily Pebbles just for starters...), but when I came across Eylure's new Halloween lashes recently I had to share them. With two styles, Batwing and the cobweb-esque Sppoky, they're the perfect easy transformation if - like me - you're a little bit rubbish when it comes to the face painting... £6.95 each, available at Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Asos and www.eylure.com

If doing the sexy Halloween look is more your thing*, Chelsea lingerie boutique Petit Bisous will be right up your strasses. It's sultry gothic delights include Mimi Holliday's Lace Cat Ear Headband (£135), the stunning Kunza Long Sleeve Lace Beaded Cincher (£972) and the absolutely divine Luna Venezia Paola Mask (£58), which I think I might invest in regardless of Halloween... www.petitbisous.com

*To quote Mean Girls, "In Girl World, Halloween is an excuse to dress up in lingerie and some form of animal ears...". Too true my friends. Too true.
