Christmas is a-coming and the goose is getting fat. The tree is up, in all its pink glory, and what better way to accessorise this year than with a selection of the very best beauty tree trinkets around. From glittery nails to lip treats, here are my favourites.

Nestled between my pink baubles (particularly in love with the new hand painted one purchased in Budapest a few weeks ago) is one from Molton Brown, a new addition to their Christmas collection for 2014. The golden Eve Lom star contains my favourite ever lip balm, the one that I constantly repeat buy from Space NK before it evens runs out; such is my dependency I can't bear to be without it. The Champneys Crackers, £10 for four from Boots and www.boots.com, each contain a 50ml Bubble Heaven Bath Cream (in Distant Shores, Mediterranean Bliss, Exotic Retreat and Oriental Opulence), a nice little treat to bury in the tree for unsuspecting - or unexpected - guests over the Christmas season. Finally bottom right we have the Boots No.7 Star Bauble, hiding a Stay Perfect Nail Polish in the most deliciously rich, festive shade of shimmering plum. Surely the ideal Christmas colour, I fear it might go missing before Christmas Day... £6 at Boots and www.boots.com
