French Sole's Ballet Beauties

Love London

I love a good collaboration and the latest one from French Sole is going straight to the top of my summer shopping list.

The brand has teamed up once again with the English National Ballet as founder and designer Jane Winkworth has designed a new limited edition shoe in aid of the arts charity, one Jane has supported closely in recent years.

The classic French Sol 'Henrietta' style has been recast in ballet pink glitter, with a silver leather insole stamped with the ENB log - the dream gift for any wannabe Sugarplum Fairy.

Due to be released at the beginning of July, they will be £120 at www.frenchsole.com with 50% of the profits being donated directly to the English National Ballet and its Pointe Shoe Appeal.

Female dancers can go through up to three pairs of pointe shoes in just one performance of a full-length ballet and with the most expensive pair costing around £70 it's easy to see how the costs mount up. As a result, the ENB spends over £145,000 a year on pointe shotes; the Pointe Shoe Appeal is vital to keep the English National Ballet's dancers performing world-class ballet to audiences around the UK and across the world.
