New weekly food market opens in Primrose Hill

The All In London Blog

This Saturday sees a new weekly food and drink market open its doors, or pull up its tarpaulins or whatever, in Primrose Hill.

Londoners are set to enjoy some of the finest food and drink available in front of one of its most iconic views where suppliers include: smoked salmon from House of Sverre, World Cheese award winners Wildes Cheese, Hook and Son dairy, who featured in the 2013 feature film, The Moo Man, Bad Brownie, British charcuterer Cannon and cannon and many others. The market will also promote local companies, including mushroom Pâté creators Pâté Moi.

The market will primarily cater for locals looking for high quality essentials and everything for the weekly shop. But organisers also aim to bring the community together, encourage people to learn about where their food comes from and to engage with the people behind the products.

Market Organiser Mike Norledge says "Shopping at markets is a choice more people should make as the produce is fresher, tastier and better value. By shopping at Primrose Hill market, every pound spent will support a local cheesemonger, butcher, baker or dairy farmer, so they can re invest in doing what they do."

Primrose Hill Market opens on Saturday 26th September and will take place every week from 10-3PM on the grounds of St Paul’s School, Primrose Hill Road, NW3 3DS.
