The Only Boot You Need

Mr Beer Man

Dating way back to the turn of the 20th century, Red Wing are a company that clearly need a single blog post (such as this one) extolling their virtues about as much as you need to bother reading any other website to get your London fix – wink-wink. They are a company that need no introduction and while I will continue to write a few lines more, this post is really only here to delight in the picture of the 6-inch Moc Lug boot above.

Wear and tear is an honour to classic boots like these and if you like – and I like - you can think of the miles wrangled through that soft grain leather and rubber Vibram soles as a nod of respect to their makers because it is what they were intended for – hence the reason they last, taking the scars and scratches that life has a habit of dealing out to more than just footwear.

Not a great deal has changed since the birth of this classic American icon and in a hundred years you’d bet your boots that things will still be looking similar.

No, this is not a sponsored post, just a little love for a boot that inspires a little lust. Buy them at the Soho Redwing store, which looks like someone’s version of a Minnesota shoe workshop circa 1950 – in a good way.
