Fire walker appeal: on the hunt for brave soles

The All In London Blog

A leading children’s hospice charity, Shooting Star Chase, is on the hunt for brave participants to walk over hot coals to help raise money for sick babies, children and young people in London and Surrey.

The charity are asking fearless folk to walk across hot coals - up to 1200°F - at Chiswick Park’s firework display in November.

Shooting Star Chase’s very first Fire Walk in 2014 raised a massive £28,000 after 80 participants took the hot leap!

The only training required for this once-in-a-lifetime experience will be given on the night by Guinness World Record holder Scott Bell and as you walk you'll know that every step they take will help children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

The Shooting Star Chase Fire walk will take place on Wednesday 4 November 2015 as part of Chiswick Park’s annual display. The event is free and fun for all the family, with live entertainment, food, drinks, music and spectacular fireworks. Fire walkers are asked to raise a minimum of £150 and will receive guaranteed access to the Chiswick Business Park’s annual fireworks display, a Shooting Star Chase t-shirt, a commemorative certificate and a photo keepsake - as well as hot refreshments.
