Half term fun at Nickelodeon store in Leicester Square

With several films on offer, it’s possible that your half term visits will include a trip to the cinema. And maybe your adventure will include the West End.

If it’s been a while since you last visited the West End, you’ll be amused to learn that there’s now a large Nickelodeon store in Leicester Square. Covering two floors, it’s chock-full of SpongeBob Square Pants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff as well as Dora the Explorer and Paw Explorer merchandise for younger kids.

Whilst primarily a clothes store, there’s plenty of toys and other stuff so it’s easy to find something to suit every taste and budget. I really liked the one-in-one sleep suits in a variety of designs. And the brightly coloured towels which would be perfect for the beach in the summer.

The staff are jolly and there are screens all around showing film clips of all the characters. I also found a bunch of kids happily colouring on the first floor.

As it’s adjacent to the M&M store so you can indulge the small people with chocolate once they’ve had their fun at Nickelodeon. And it’s possible that the street lights and decorations from the recent Chinese New Year are still up in nearby China Town if you fancy a wander in the fresh air. You might also book to have a bite to eat at the Rainforest Café which is always popular or even spend some time with the older kids at Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
