Tickle Your Senses at Thai Square Spa

Love London

If you didn’t get round to celebrating Songkran, the Thai New Year last week (it fell on the 13th of April) I have the perfect solution, for a shiny new branch of Thai Square Spa has opened on Northumberland Avenue and it’s one you won’t want to miss.

Fans of the previous Covent Garden incarnation, will recognise its brand of timeless classical elegance, but the new space features an eclectic mix of Thai, Roman and Turkish spa décor elements, housed within a beautifully converted Victorian Turkish bath.

Stepping through the doors one is transported into a luxurious haven for all the senses, a world away from the bustle of the street outside. Five Thai massage treatment rooms are accompanied by, six ritual massage rooms and one vast VIP suite treatment room with private relaxation zone and steam room. There’s a a Himalayan salt room, an ice fountain, a Vichy shower treatment room, hydrotherapy pool and sauna - enough that you’ll want to waste a good half hour relaxing before any treatments.

Speaking of which, signature treatments include the Temple of Jade Hot Stone Body Massage and the Thai Herbal Ceremony. There are a host of treatments based on traditional Thai techniques, all of which use products from the bespoke in-house product line, iMantara by Thai Square Spa. Trying to select just one will probably be a tough call; the treatment many is packed with amazing sounding treats (a return visit is definitely in order...). I indulged in a traditional Thai massage, seriously therapeutic and one to definitely put a spring back in your step. The fact that it was a relatively quiet weekday morning meant I basically had the spa facilities to myself; a perfectly indulgent way to start the week.
