This summer sees Macmillan Cancer Support embrace the outdoors with its new Summer Lights campaign, supported by npower, Macmillan’s longstanding charitable partner. The premise of the campaign is simple - host a Summer Lights get together, invite the people that light up your life and then get fundraising. It’s that easy!
Whether you hold an event for just your closest friends or pull out all the stops and invite the whole street, what really matters is that by hosting a Summer Lights event, you will help people affected by cancer get the support they need.
To help inspire the nation to host their own Summer Lights celebrations across the UK on the 25th of June (or whenever inspiration strikes), npower has enlisted the design prowess of a selection of style influencers who have each created a beautiful Summer Lights celebration look that can easily be recreated at home, with the aim of encouraging others to jazz up their celebrations.
npower has teamed up with some of the country's top blogger talent to support the campaign and inspire people to create their own Summer Lights looks, including lifestyle and parenting blogger Emily Leary (A Mummy Too); Londoner about town Paula Holmes (LDN Diaries); Interiors blogger Geraldine Tan (Little Big Bell); and lifestyle blogger Poppy (Poppy Loves - if you don't follow Poppy already, get involved. Her Instagram is seriously envy-inducing!). All of the looks that have been created are truly unique – from Emily’s fun, over-the-top celebration that parents and kids can enjoy, to Paula’s laidback garden celebration, to Geraldine’s bright, summery look, to Poppy’s ‘Mid-Summer Nights Dream’ theme, the options are endless!
