Samurai Style from Cimone

Love London

A newcomer arrives on the British accessories scene next week with the launch of CIMONE, from creative director Carli Pearson, who has already won praise for her women's ready-to-wear collection.

Former Design Director at Alexander Wang, Pearson's accessories are hand-crafted in the London studio, creating some seriously covetable bags; the Samurai-inspired Wakashudo tote bag in woven, laser-cut leather tote complete with sheepskin sides, and brass hardware may be an eye-watering £3,750 but it definitely won't stick around for long.

Pearson said of the collection, “CIMONE is about opposites, in all senses of the word – design, fabric, taste, silhouette, and overall brand message – positives vs. negatives. Although CIMONE has a polished serious aesthetic, it’s really important that the design isn't so serious that it loses all sense of fun. CIMONE aims to have a youthful spirit and to be irreverent at its core, and after thirteen years working at senior levels in the industry, I’m ready to chart my own course.”

The tote and a matching clutch (£1,200) will be available from tomorrow at https://store.cimone.co.uk
