There's a new kid on the block of London's hair scene, as this summer has seen the opening of the brand spanking new Salon Sloane, just around the corner from Sloane Square.
The baby of former Vidal Sassoon and FUDGE Creative Director John Vial and Belle Cannan, whom he met whilst both partners at Real Hair, the salon (mere footsteps from the tube) is their reaction "against the hipster movement". Says John, "it's not about instant gratification, it's about a return to quality, discipline and craft".
It may be small but it's perfectly formed; sleek, chic, luxurious and refined. My haircut with John (which, as it happens, was amongst the best I've ever had) turned into a proper gossipy chinwag, discovering we're neighbours and sharing stories about mutual friends - just want you want from a hairdresser.
Prices from £28 for a blow dry and £75 for a haircut.
