About: Bexleyheath’s very own shopping centre amalgamates all the high street stores you can think of under one roof. Having opened in 1984 it’s undergone renovation several times as well as various name changes, but today its four floors encompass everything from Dorothy Perkins to Punkyfish for the ladies, Burton’s for the gents and a whole host of shoe shops, gadgets and games outlets, phone shops and supermarkets; the centre’s very own valet service will wash and wax your car while you shop. In 2001 an extension was erected on Broadway Square, with a TK Maxx, Poundland, Wilkinson’s and Sainsbury supermarket as well as a pub, making this the largest shopping centre in the London borough of Bexley, and there are further plans to expand into the car park. Hungry shoppers have the usual food court fare at their disposal in the shape of Starbucks, Burger King, and Gregg’s among others. The mall has disabled access and toilets as well as shop mobility vehicles and shopping escorts. Late night shopping is on Thursdays.
