i went along to an open mic music night here last friday and it rocked! Pretty cool interior to the pub that uses the old features. we were too late to get any food but the menu looked good. will be back for the next session, and maybe will get involved!

I went to the Market Trader the other day and had one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. It used to be pretty bland in there but since it's been taken over looks like it is heading in the right direction. The midweek menu looked amazing too. The new owner (nice bloke) told me they've got a chef in who knows his stuff and has developed a very interesting and smart new menu which looks great. Looking forward to spending more time in here. Great atmosphere, great food, still needs the outside updating but don't let that put you off.

Going to be my new local, been living round the corner for 11yrs and up untill last week hadn't stepped foot in the place. It was always an old mans boozer with (i'm told) a rather rude landlady but it's been bought out by some young couple, whom couldn't have been more plesent.

There now seems a nice mix of people both office and locals alike. inside and out they haven't finished decorating yet but ignore the outside and pop your head through the doors and you'll find a really nice pub. Foods good to, got to be one of the best sunday roast this side of East London.

The Market Trader used to be a fantastic pub to drink in, always had a warm and friendly atmosphere and i used to visit on a weekly basis. I was devastated to learn that the landlords had left leaving the pub with a very different feel to it. It's empty now with no personality, avoid it, there are many better pubs in the area.

On a recent visit to London from Yorkshire we went for a walk around and came upon The Market Trader, as we were looking for somewhere to eat we thought we would try the food.
The atmosphere in the pub was really warm and friendly and the food was lovely! I really recommend the green thai curry.
We are planning to come back again soon.
I would recommend you visit this pub when you are in London.
