A cosy little neighbourhood pub with a friendly and warm atmosphere (It needed to be warm - we were in London in winter after all!) A good pub menu and prompt service in a crowded bar. Friendly staff and patrons. It was quiz night so we had a go, even though we're from the Antipodes and the doings of the local politicians and TV characters are a bit of a mystery - got fifth anyway, so they're obviously mysterious to the locals as well. Had a handle of London Pride on the recommendation of the bar staff - yeah, well............ so in the absence of Stella Artois, stuck to the Carlton. Thanks for a convivial evening.
