Celebrating the glamour of the Prohibition era, The Bootlegger brings alive America’s roaring twenties in London. Being authentic to this bygone era, the retro basement lounge evokes an enticing Speakeasy experience.

Exposed brickwork, period flooring and copper wiring light installations provide the backdrop for the drinking den, whilst the eclectic furniture, vintage fittings, original period photography and secret props transport drinkers to the dark underground world of Prohibition decadence.

Open Monday to Friday from 4pm until late and available for private hire on Saturday through Sunday, The Bootlegger offers an exceptional selection of hooch filled cocktails and a vintage themed menu.

Weekly live music performances add to intoxicating ambiance of The Bootlegger, showcasing a diverse mix of classic rhythms from the era. The undisclosed headliners will deliver a mix of Blues, Jazz, Charleston and Motown to complete The Bootlegger bill with a weekly DJ set on Friday evenings to welcome the weekend.

Just loved this bar. The atmosphere was electric and the music was brilliant. And to top it all off it was happy hour 2 4 1 cocktails. The staff were so attentive and helpful. The only downside was they didn’t have any ice when we first arrived but the staff explained they had a problem but were just fetching some so didn’t have to wait too long for first drink.
Would totally recommend and will be back soon.
