Not many such pubs keep their soul when re-vamped like this one was 8 or so years ago, but the Stanley's local clientel keep it throbbing with liveness, friendliness and good attitude.
Menu stalwarts like the Chicken Sanswich with Mango Salsa are great, although the price vs volume ratio on the food isn't so good since it changed hands in late 2003.
Has patio beer garden out the back, and does great bank holiday BBQs.
