Top notch pub.
Great selection of beers and ultra friendly service.

Great local pub. The best pub in the area. Friendly bar staff and landlady. Customers are a good mixture of locals and city workers along with barbican visitors and LSO members. Well kept beer and good food. Right opposite Bunhill fields graveyard. give it a try.
This is a great pub. The more time spent in here the more you get to know it. Very easy going. Good bar staff. guvner good but can bite your head off if you are a pratt. Good mix of locals and rest of the world.
We've used The Artillery Arms several times now for computer gaming sessions in their upstairs room. They've always been very welcoming and cooperative. Food is simple and very good - none of that posh crap you get in so-called gastropubs, just good, honest, hearty fare at decent prices. The real ale is excellent, served at the right temperature and reasonably priced. Talking of temperature, even with 30 geeks with laptops in summer, the upstairs room has big windows that open and let a cool breeze in, meaning it doesn't get hot.
Well recommended.
Possibly the last reviewer just caught Pete at a bad time, I have been drinking in the Artillery for the last 4 years and he has been a great landlord in that time, he just doesn't suffer fools gladly.
Efficient and friendly bar staff, great space upstairs, good beer, and a magic mirror in the downstairs ladies which makes you look instantly taller and thinner.
Shame the McCoys have been switched for Tyrells crisps, which is why this is a 9 instead of a 10.
This used to be a fabulous pub - one of the best in London. But lately it has acquired a really rude landlord who seems to enjoy sniping at customers, especially when the pub is busy. The beer and food is good but the landlord is too ignorant to make it worth a trip any more. The Two Brewers round the corner has a wonderful landlord and landlady and brilliant beer, but doesn't do food: best plan is to eat first and then try this one instead.
I have also used to the artillary arms for functions before and Pete and Monica and Craig have always been so helpful and attentive, it has grat character and is one of the city's nicest and atmospheric pubs. I love it.

We have a monthly meeting in the function room of The Artillery Arms and just have to say what a great place this is. Pete the manager and the staff are incredibly helpful, accommodating and will assist in any way they can.
For anyone wanting to use the upstairs room for meetings or functions, it’s quiet, airy, open-fire place with wood interior. Can comfortably fit 35/40 people. Good priced drinks and food in the day time.
Over the last 4 years we have held talks/meetings in pubs in Finchley, Farringdon and Barbican. Of them all, this is the most friendly and welcoming place we have used and we can highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you!
