The Bridge House has been my local since the new owners took over three years ago. The food is great, the beers are good for real ale fanatics and lager drinkers alike. Mostly though the staff and clientele make you feel very welcome.
Children are allowed downstairs in the non smoking cafe area but not in the bar. This is a good thing.
It's not the cheapest venue (mainly the location I think) but it is great value.
The upstairs restaurant/function room is a really good space for a medium sized personal party or a small Corporate do. I have had two of my own birthdays there.
I don't know where you think the outside seating is though, there isn't any.
The Bridge House is a pub that serves beers, wines, spirits, champagne and malt whiskies. They can cater for private parties of up to 40 seated guests and 100 standing guests. They serve a variety of traditional English dishes and seating on the pavement area is provided, weather permitting. Children are warmly welcomed and catered for.
