Bar Room Bar @ The Tankard serves a variety of drinks as well as wood fired pizzas with tempting toppings. Catering for private parties of up to 80 guests is available upon request. They provide a range of entertainment including a big screen TV, and resident DJs playing Acid Jazz, Garage, Disco and R&B tunes in a chilled and laid-back atmosphere. They also provide a range of board games including chess. Seating on the terrace area is provided, weather permitting.

I have to disagree with both the previous reviews, having been to the Tankard with friends I found it friendly and laid back with excellent pizza, so much so that I booked the upstairs room (which is free!) for an evening reception for work, the manager was hugely helpful, very friendly and we had a fantastic evening. I'm going back again in a couple of weeks for a staff party and will continue to use it whenever I can.
