The Mortimer arms is a traditional london pub situated on the Tottenham court road, recently used as the the Head quarters for Nike Polo Pub. We served authentic Thai food and have 6 large HD plasmas and a huge Hd projector. We show all sports and pride ourselves on great service and warm welcomes. We have an extensive drinks range and can cater for all events with a sound system that would take on most big clubs.

All In London Review
Serious about sport
This pub is far enough from the West End and Soho for there to be seating and the possibility of conversation on a Friday night, yet central enough for it to remain lively. With the wooden bar to one side, there are plenty of tables and chairs placed around the room ready for customers to rest their weary feet.
Two large flat screens showing sports dominate the room, and the walls at the back are covered in autographed images of sporting heroes, suggesting the owner had a previous life in athletics/boxing/football.
They certainly take their sports seriously at The Mortimer Arms; during this summer’s World Cup they hosted Nike’s Polo Pub, a night that featured DJs and bands such as Jon Carter, The Bluetones and The Boogaloo Crew. The lucky people in attendance even went home with a few freebies courtesy of Nike.
The habitual range of beers, ales, wines and spirits are available, however the wine - priced at £16 a bottle - leaves a lot to be desired. Both the house red and the Rioja taste like bitter medicine. Thai food is on the menu, as well as a small section devoted to burgers and chips. The thickly cut chips smothered in melted Cheddar cheese are perfect booze-soaking fare but admittedly a cardiologist’s nightmare.
The Mortimer Arms may not offer the greatest food or drink, but they achieve what they set out to do - provide a cosy environment for whiling away time with friends and/or watching the footie. In any case, surely not every pub in Britain needs to become a gastro-pub?

I also had a bite from their Thai food menu, I didn't know about this before, but the Fried Squid and Pad Thai I ordered were very nice. My mate had their cheeseburger and that seemed to go down well too. May check this place out for lunch now too, now that I know.. :)
Overall quite worthwhile, I'd say..

I think they've recently started to do Thai food and successfully so. I've been seeing an increasing number of people eating there for lunch or dinner, and have tried it now twice myself and was very happy with my red curry and a fried Sea Bass dish.

Now, the place has gone up a couple of notches in my book, as they have started offering a Thai menu. I went in with colleagues today and enjoyed some curries and stir-frieds, all of which were very enjoyable and priced at around 6 pounds. We were initially hesitant but decided we could not go wrong for that price, and then everything turned out great value for money. I'll be going back!
