The Elm Park Tavern (or the EPT as it likes to be known) is a fairly standard London locals pub. Although it looks a bit run down from the outside and the decorations and furnishings are a bit worn on the inside, the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. Not a particularly upbeat place, but it has a nice laid back atmosphere for a relaxed pint and you can normally get a seat and a table on a weekend. Small back garden for smokers and they show the main sports in the bar. The big highlight of the week is the Pub Quiz which happens on a Thursday and draws a slightly larger crowd. This starts at 9, but get there earlier for a table. Small group of about 10 inoffensive locals prop up the bar and seem to be there most of the time. You won't get any trouble here, but don't expect much more than just a friendly pint and a chat either.
