The Eight Bells

This is one of the few proper pubs in the area. It has retained it's character as others have succumbed to bland makeovers to cater for the gastro pub crowd. It's tucked away on the south side of Putney bridge, it's clean, cosy and friendly. It also serves good, reasonably priced pub food. I've had a decent pint and hot meal for not much over a tenner. It may get busy on match days but so do all the pubs in the area. Like many interesting pubs the clientele is a healthy mix including tradesman, professionals, locals etc. If I didn't live so far away in Barons Court I would use this place more regularly .

Good away pub if your club is playing Fulham. Bar service is good, servers friendly. It can get quite crowded at times. Kitchen has substantial meals. Located close to Putney Bridge tube stop and a nice walk along the Thames to the Fulham grounds.

Disappointing as quality of food is not Gastro-pub level which would be more in keeping with it's quiet village area location.
Doesn't reflect the relaxed residential area but caters to football crowds.

I really like this place - it kind of reminds me of the bar out of star wars!!!
