Literally just returned from this hidden gem. good food and reasonalby priced. Very quiet for a friday lunch as its obviously yet to be discovered by the city masses.

Quite remarkably, the waitress was very friendly and seemed to actually care about our experience and making the bar more popular.

This bar/pub recently re opened and has gone from being one of the worst bars in the city to one of the best. The decor is now vastly improved with a living room feel which gives a really relaxing atmosphere that's complemented by the friendliness of the staff. You don't often get that local feel where you can have a descent conversation with the staff and expect efficient service but here you're really made to feel at home. The food is always good and very reasonably priced and there's always something fun going on (free shots on Thursday nights when you guess heads or tails with the bar man!). It's a rare gem that's worth finding (it's hidden away behind the Heron Tower block on Houndsditch). I highly recommend paying this bar a visit.
