🚫AVOID RUBY BLUE IN LEICESTER SQUARE. PLEASE SHARE! 🚫 I'm gutted to have to post this but I've given RUBY BLUE Ruby Blue Bar - Leicester Square THREE WHOLE WEEKS to respond to our complaint.

On Tues 21st June, myself and 5 friends decided to go to Ruby Blue for some cocktails after the GINA YASHERE show. This was a huge mistake!

My good friend, who has diabetes, ordered a pizza at 9pm. We assumed, as you would, would be cooked on the premises, take around 20mins and would be served to us on a plate.

45mins later, we asked where the pizza was. We were told by the staff 'it would be ready in 5mins'. 15 mins later (an hour since we had ordered at this point (we asked to cancel the pizza. We explained that it wasn't acceptable and that it was really important that our friend eat as soon as possible. We were told by security staff that the manager was on his way with the pizza and it would take '5mins'. We were told that we WERE NOT ALLOWED to cancel or get a refund despite the fact it was now late at night with a TFL strike and we were women who needed to get home late at night on long bus rides home. We were told again to wait!!

When the manager arrived, 10mins later at 10.10pm, he arrived with a brown box with what he calls a 'pizza' inside. At this point, we didn't want the pizza. We had to leave. We wanted to complain. There was no apology forthcoming. In fact, the manager was extremely rude acting as if WE were the hassle, told us that it wasn't his fault that it took so long and that he had been waiting as if WE had caused him the inconvenience.

When we asked for a refund again and expressed our disappointment in the lack of apology, we were asked to leave with the pizza in an unmarked brown box and told we were NOT ALLOWED a refund. I cannot express the rude and belligerent way he spoke with us as if we didn't have a right to make any form of complaint and just accept this treatment of us.

As paying customers we'd paid for an experience of having a cocktail and pizza AT A TABLE, ON A PLATE in the space of 1.5hrs NOT wait 1hr 10mins for it to arrive.

When we DID open the box our disgust hit new heights when staring back at us, was something I wouldn't even feed a dog yet alone serve to someone who'd been waiting 1hr 10mins! I'll let the images speak for themselves but I'm outraged that this was deemed acceptable in any shape or form. Please note the image is EXACTLY how it was given to us.

On opening the box, we returned to Ruby Blue to show the manager. We were told by security at the door that 'the manager's at KFC getting himself some food. We've radioed him and he's coming'. I insisted we wait.

We showed the security what was served to us. Whilst one of the security men showed some empathy, the Asian security man seemed to find this funny and thought it appropriate to mock us and snigger when I was raising our concerns. He refused us entry back into the bar because it was 'past 10pm and we needed ID!' and made us wait outside like animals for the manager who, after 25mins, never came.

That evening I instagrammed Ruby Blue with my complaint.

No response.

The next day I eventually spoke with someone called Basia who listened to my complaint and asked me to email. A further 3 emails and 2 phone calls later, two weeks later, she responded saying she'd pass it on to a manager and they'd call us tomorrow.

Tomorrow came and went.

Three weeks later, we're still waiting for this to be resolved.

Not only have Ruby Blue shown absolutely no care, concern or respect for its customers, serves us food cooked outside the premises without telling us, made us wait 1hr 10mins for it then refused us a refund but their customer service complaint handling service is beyond despicable.

Having gone onto Trip Advisor, I'd only wished I read the reviews earlier. They are shockingly SHIT.

RUBY BLUE, do better! Hold your staff accountable and value your customers.

Trust me when I say, I'm not stopping until this is resolved and sorted. You treated us like absolute scum and then we were mocked in the process.

Treat people with RESPECT and dignity!

AWFUL PLACE!

Received a reply finally saying they'd issue us a refund for the 'pizza' but gave no apology. Nearly 2 weeks later no refund given and NO RESPONSES TO EMAILS!

The bouncers are incredibly rude and racist, this is the second time I visited the first time was okay but this time after paying entry we were supposed to get 2 free shot tokens and the guy giving them out said he wouldn't give us any tokens the whole night if he didn't get a kiss from my friend, when she refused he told his bouncer friend to kick us out but we know one of the bouncers who said he didn't have to give us tokens but we could stay, drinks are overpriced and the crowd is generally uncool older men (we're a group of 19 year old girls) I WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN! 0 stars/10

I kind of enjoyed it my friend hated it I do agree I think their is a racial thing with the bouncers as they were not rude to me I am half white/half indian and I look more white however my friend is from Turkmenistan and is quite darker and has an accent and they were really rude to her. The music was great and drinks and the atmosphere was good as well apart from the rude staff everything was good.

I was greated by rude, aggresive and extremely RACIST bouncers at this club on Saturday night. Their website says entry is free before 10,we arrived at 9.30 and were told the timings had all changed and we now had to pay £8 before 10. As we stood at the side deciding whether or not to go in we saw a group of girls being allowed entry, we specifically heard them say they were not on any guestlist however the bouncer told them they only had to pay £5. When we confronted him he told us they were on a 'special guestlist'!!! when we said we had heard the whole conversation he got extremely aggresive and said if we continued being rude he wouldnt let us in anyway!! rude! just for asking why there was a price difference for no apparent reason other than the colour of our skin! we where a group or asian girls and they were white, this being the only difference between us confirms it must have been a race thing. We met us with these girls in the bathroom later and i asked them if they were on any guestlist and they confirmed they werent. I was going to book my birthday party at Ruby Blue, but now i am never stepping foot in this club again. I think it is digusting people in this day and age can act like this and get away with it. Having read all the reviews this club gets its a wonder anyone even pays to get in, but i guess repeat business isnt a priority for them. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB!!!!!!

We got there early for a meal and I was a little put off as the whole place stank of sick.
The restaurant staff were rude and condescending.
I had the surf and turf my first lobster and had a great deal of trouble finding any meat in my 1/2 lobster shell.
When we went downstairs we were asked to leave and were given no reasons why by the rude security staff.
The whole experience was a complete let down and I would recommend anybody avoid this place like the plague.

I arrived at this club with three female friends from germany at 1 am on Saturday night early Sunday morning. Given that it closes at 3 am the doormen were extremely polite and said "Welcome in as our guests with no cover charge". We had a great 2 hours and naturally bought drinks. So it goes to show - be nice to visitors and you can increase your profits - 10/10 for this venue. Good House Music as well ;-)

myself and two friends turned up at this place for a friends birthday only to be turned away at the door by two of the worlds most rude bouncers. the manageress was unhelpful and indeed quite abusive explaining that we were a liability and a danger to her club. evidently this was a badly disguised ruse for charging us the extortionate entry fee by telling us to return after 10.
because it was a friends birthday and we wanted to make an appearance, we went away for a coffee and returned an hour later only to be told by the bouncers to "f off". that phrase sums up perfectly the attitude of the staff and management.
in summary, i wish i could give this place a 0/10
