B-Bar is an excellent lunchtime restaurant and a fun evening bar.
The restaurant's set menu is good value and the a la carte has a very interesting selection; including some unusual dishes such as Ostrich and Kudu, reflecting their South African influences. Everything is very well presented and very reliable. I have eaten there at least a dozen times and both I and my guests have always found the food to be delicious - both meat and fish. For veggies, their risotto and salads are particularly good. I am not a puddingy person, but on the few occasions when I have had dessert, it was delicious and, again, beautifully presented.
If opting not to have a starter, then the dips and pitta, or the satay (both to share) are a pleasant way to kick off. Wines are reasonably priced for this part of London. The selection is wide and interesting and the house wine is perfectly palatable. There is also a good selection of other wines which can be had by the glass.
Service is very efficient and the surroundings cosy, but light and airy.
B-Bar & Restaurant has background music and serves a variety of drinks and dishes.
