Daylight robbery

May 28, 2008

Avoid this club/restaurant. Went there for my old mans birthday. Although the food was ok, the staff seemed unorganised.

They charged more for the wine than was stated on the menu, then tricked me into paying for my meal twice claiming that the first payment wouldn't be processed as their was no reciept paper in the machine.

Having noticed the double charge on my bank statement a few days later, i have been into the restaurant again, to resolve the mater and made around 10 phone calls to various members of staff there all promising the amount would be fully refunded. Two months later and I haven't seen a penny.

If you wanted to be a victim of fraud, and then continually lied to v

Went on Saturday 4th Feb & was very disappointed. No problem getting in (5 girls & 4 boys). Great view of the Eye & the staff inside were nice enough. The entrance fee was higher than most (£20) but that would of been fine had it been a great place. The toilets were cramped, dirty & had no toilet paper. The main dancefloor was small & very over crowded with low ceilings which added to the lack of room. The cloakroom was full meaning coats left everywhere. The music was awful, (no RnB is fair enough) but the obvious amatuer dj's couldn't mix properly which ruined the few good house tunes that they did play. Finally, nobody looked like they were enjoying themselves or even wanted to be there

I went to the Penthouse's NYE party and I wouldn't recommand it to anyone: the staff were rude, prices were just ridiculous (more than £5 for half a pint of bier) and the atmosphere was just too pretentious. If you're a would-be celebrity, this place is for you!

first off, to the people who gave negative reviews about this club, what were you thinking? did you expect not-so-costly entrance? come on! this club is frequented by the affluent. if you know you can't afford this place, don't even try. and now you're giving it negative reviews. bloody idiots. and pleeease, don't expect the crew/staff to be friendly.... you're not a v.i.p. in the first place!

this club is ace. to hell with these negative reviews.

myself and 7 friends went penthouse for a friends birthday, the staff were pleasent, the drinks exspensive but thats to be expected, the views were stunning, the que was short waited 5 minutes or less, was on the free entry guestlist, the atmosphere was good, music was averagly good - catered for most tastes, people there generally thought that the world owed them something- some girl actually put her cigarette out on my face whilst dancing but other than that it was a good and well worth visiting!!

AVIOD! Do not that Celebrities fool you.

Staff = Rude and extremely unhelpfull for a "posh" club
Que = No more than 15 people in the que.
Waited 40 minutes outside and 20 inside trying to get up the stairs. Had to fill in a stupid form.
We were on the free entry guestlist but they forced us to pay £10 after waiting an hour to get in. Very rude staff.

Go somewhere proper instead!!!!!!!!!!!

what i like about this place is the music, its not just Rnb so caters for everyone, i've always had a really good experience here, if u take a minute to look out over london, the views are really impressive too!!

Only bad point is the loos are awful, more school toilet then cool club, really lets it down!

But i hate reviews, so go judge for yourself! everyone's different!

This club was the worst experience I have ever had, it started with having to wait for 30 minutes outside, even though i was on the list, the crowd consisted of everyone you try to avoid on leister sq. loads of travellers, and drunks, the music was too loud and distorted, and champagne warm, we asked for a table so we could get away from the crowd, but then my girlfriends bag was stolen, and mysteriously turned up in the ladies bathroom (empty) we dicided to get out of there before anything else could go wrong, just as I walked accross the dancefloor, some guy decided to pick a fight with me, and punched me in the mouth... need I say more? terrible place.

I went on sat. 19th March, I was having a teetotal night as I chose to drive. There were 2 girls on the cash desk, they told me to sign the guestbook and asked for £20 entry fee. I put the money on the desk, next to the guestbook, as I signed the guestbook I saw one of the staff take the note out of the corner of my eye. I entered the club and heard the girl screaming at me telling me I hadn't paid. We then had a 5 minute heated discussion where I was adamant that I had paid, they were adamant that I hadn't. In the end one of the other members of staff said to just go in and I didn't pay twice, but I felt they were dishonest and they stole the money for themselves. Be wary if visiting!
