JD Wetherspoon

Avoid. Do not go near. Poorly trained staff due to poor management who cannot deal with complaints and who are haughty and arrogant. Food took 40minutes to come and was freezing. Was talking to a member of the bar staff who informed me she didnt know how to change a barrel and would have to wait for management. She also said she had asked for training for it but they had denied it. I compained abut my food and was replaced with a 'new' meal - actually my meal heated in a microwave WITH a hair in it. Ill have my meal without the hair thanks. Informed management who picked the hair out of the food, left and proceeded to yell at the bar staff. Poorly managed pub. Wont be going again.

JD Wetherspoon.. sounds great on paper but does it actually meet the level of service that we are promised?

Well, after having used the JD Wetherspoon in Woolwich today, I feel the need to write a review of what you can expect from this chain..

To summarize what happened, I went in for a drink, recieved abuse and a threat of physical violence from a customer who certainly had more than enough to drink, and the helpful bar staff.. smiled and did nothing.

I have contacted the complaints department of this chain(which operates for all London branches) and they have promised to look into this matter. I'll keep you posted with how I get along so please be sure to check back soon..
