Blue Posts

In the year 2007 I stayed at the ritz hotel for 5 nights evey evening I came to the blue post for a few beers I met a lot of fine gentlemen there the beer was excellent staff very friendly just a great local pub.

Just about the most dreadful place I've ever had the misfortune to enter in need of a drink. Despite the fact that it was 10pm on a Wednesday, that is, people need liquid refreshment but the pub was fairy empty, five people stood at the bar waiting to be served for 2 full minutes before the bar girl materialised. I waited another 5 minutes to be served. However, even though I was standing right next to the till, and she twice look up at me, just as I was about to be served, or so I thought, a party of four that had just walked in was served in front of me. I can only guess whether this was wilful on her part because I was on my own, or whether the pub has managed to employ a complete cretin behind the bar. I fear the latter. I walked out, went to the closest pub I could find, and got served literally 4 seconds after entering. Considering the rate at which pubs are closing in the UK and in London, I would have thought a pub would be going to great lengths to get and maintain business. Obviously the staff and management of the Blue Posts couldn't give a four-X. Good or atrocious service is a defining hallmark of any establishment. This one fails dismally. Another good indicator are the state of the toilets; the toilets at the Blue Posts are a disgrace.
Do not use this pub; there are plenty more in the area - and they're better.
