Tonight I visited the Firefly for pre and post dinner drinks - and he difference was amazing.
Pre dinner I was served by a lady and given a nice if over priced glass of mulled wine. Sat with friends and was treated well by the staff.
After dinner. a different story - an antagonistic barman who was obviously tired took out his bad day on us and after we had bought 2-3 rounds decided it was a must to have the door open while collecting in the outside tables. On a night it had been snowing. We had been finishing our drinks and he ruined our evening by being rude, and agressive with my friends. Was very disappointed in the difference in service and the manager's lack of attention when we raised this with her.
I would recommend walking a bit further into Balham and going to one of the much friendlier bars in the town centre high street.
