It is what it is - an honest welcoming pub, that looks after you!
Its great if you just want to pop in for a quick beer and have a friendly member of bar staff to talk to!
Its fantastic for parts (now has 8 board), but you should book in advance!
Pop in and see for yourself!
Best xmas party in years...fantastic staff that care about their customers.
I will be back, the buffet was fantastic, the beers reasonable, darts and pool tables dominate this establishment,a throw back real pub with real people.
Looking forward to returning in the new year.
I fell across the Porters Lodge by Chance, not so long ago. There was many other people in there - all dancing, singing and having general fun. The bar stuff were very pleasent, polite and made an effort to make you feel welcome. I think it was an opening night to celebrate new management, they did a very good job as i will be returning very soon. A young polite barmaid made highly good conversation with me and has persuaded me to attend the next big night, which i believe is this thursday. The Staff, venue and atmosphere are a credit to London.
I would Highly recommend.
we luv it..best skool disco in london x
Top bar really,,found it by mistake looking for a toilet..Went downstairs, manager was really polite and helpful.
Great Thia food at lunch..musics quite good too,not too loud,Adnams and London Pride on draught.
City suits and blonde secretary types everywhere, you either know where it is,or you fall upon it by chance,,highly recommended though, probably has the best pool tables in the square mile,2 dart boards too.
Didnt like the fact that no sky sports ,although use of a freeview box is used I think.
Only real downside ,is the beer isnt the cheapest in town,£3 for Fosters.Still,I would def go back for more.
