Fantastic place, no heirs or graces required. The pub that you would go to with your mates at home but in the middle of the city. if you want gastro snacks and outlandish priced cocktails to hob nob in your Armani and public school layers and bankers then no, probs not going to win you the contract. If you are on the otherhand wnating a real place to go have a pint, watch a match, chat the night away and hear that it's closing time hen it feels like you only just got there then yes. Clean work boots and wear acceptable, best place in town for a pint. and that's from a scouser in the city for 3 weeks on a construction site. guys and girls, it was a pleasure. Thanks

if you want a locals only bar, this is it, if you want a trumped up london pub go somewhere else. watch the game, get a pint, and jump in to the nearest conversation, mostly about sports, or whatever, it's a working mans pub, it does not cater to the fragile ego of tourists. enjoy the people, have a pint, have some fun. get away from the touristy london and see the real nightlife.

My experience of this pub was not good - the barstaff ignored us, and the patrons stared silently at us. Everyone was more interested in watching the TV then in serving us. The atmosphere was boring and unfriendly.

this may be the worst pub in london ...the staff are rude and uncooperative, the bar area is overflowing with bar flys frightened to leave there stools and the atmosphere is tense as every one waits for the barmaids to start ranting on in some eastern block dialect ....the saving grace is the geordie contractors who bring a good laugh to the misery inside but seem to stay outside out of the way.........my advice sack the staff employ the geordies
