Great pub serving great beer and very expensive "pies"!
Just watched the All Whites football game down there. The place was packed as expected but there was no air conditioning! Far too hot, some people were dripping, yuck!
Also ordered a steak and cheese pie for £3. Sounds reasonable on the face of it, but the "pie" was half the size it should've been! Ridiculous, shouldn't be called a pie, but was tasty.
Those are the negatives, otherwise the staff are great, nice and friendly, great atmosphere and great beer.

I have just spent an evening at the Southerner, and whilst one visit, isn't always indicative of a true picture, I must say, I had an excellent time. We booked out some tables as we had a large party, the staff were so polite and friendly it was untrue, the other customers were a nice bunch, and its a nice clean looking place. Great food, nice cold beers, good TV's to watch the sport, and nice to have a wine bar upstairs.
I use my justinlondon account typically, to highlight the frequent poor service one tends to get in London, its a lovley change to praise somewhere so highly and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Ill be going back.
