Avoid at all cost. The food took 40 min to arrive and both dishes were wrong and cold. Ingredients as mentioned on the menu were not present in the meal, peri peri grilled chicken burger was replaced by BBQ fried chicken between two slices of bread, dip burger was served without a dip while the waiter tried to convince us the gravy dip was actually inside the burger. Both dishes were missing coleslaw and chips were cold. When asking for money back one bartender kept winking at us while the other one was interested in making us see it his way instead of the other way round. After a lengthy conversation and a non complimentary drink he actually tried to charge us again instead of refunding the cost. Absolute hellhole, we wouldn't go back if it was the last place to eat on the planet. The only safe thing to do there is to get a bottled drink and take it outside and ignoring the food and staff altogether

The food had obviously been frozen, it was more like food you would buy in Icelands. It is not my first visit to this pub, just two months ago when I really enjoyed the lovely hunters chicken. Don't know what has happened regarding the food. The atmosphere in the pub was just boring. I smiled at one of the staff and she looked right through me, I was told later she was the manager ! Will not be coming back.

I believe you can play casual chess here most nights and have a pint or two! what a nice combo.

Wonderful pub for a night out with the grown-ups but also allows families. Kings Head has a family license and we have taken our small child there a couple of times - the staff is very conscientious and the atmosphere is quite family-friendly. The pie-of-the-day + 1 pint for 6 pounds 50 is a wonderful and filling dinner deal.

Love at first site with the comfortable, traditional surroundings and great range of superbly kept beer including a personal favourite, Harviestoun's Bitter and Twisted - reminds me of my ex!

Friendly landlord is passionate about his beer and it shows! Regular themed nights and charity events. A new fixture on my list of locals!
