We were in London for 2 weeks on our honeymoon in Sept 2008. We had dinner in the Sanctuary House and liked it so well we returned for dinner on our last evening. As I recall we had excellent fish and chips.
It is very much a traditional English urban pub. We were in there about 17:00. A lot of the home bound crowd were in suits and ties, apparently government workers having a pint on the way home.

Sanctuary House is a traditional bar with a modern atmosphere. They pride themselves on their steak and ale pies and other traditional English cuisine. Catering for private parties of up to 60 guests is available upon request. They also have a hotel above this pub.
