Concrete is a versatile underground space, located in the heart of vibrant Shoreditch in East London. Situated on the lower level of the Tea Building, Concrete’s interior is simple and raw, inspired by its industrial surroundings.
With a professional sound system, full bar, long wooden tables and benches, and room to dance, Concrete is an ideal venue for a range of events.
I've been to this place a couple of times last year, but last Friday I went there with a friend and was refused entrance. We arrived at 10.40, no queue. The bouncer did not let us in and when I asked why, he said "we don't give reasons". The place was obviously not full, neither me nor my friend had drunk alcohol up to that point, and we weren't wearing any funny clothes or anything. I can only assume we were discriminated because of our physical appearance or because the bouncer heard us talking a different language than English. Please don't support venues that choose to discriminate.
