On Saturday 9th November, London’s leading Soulful House night Groove Odyssey celebrates its 5th birthday and marks this momentous occasion by throwing another hotly anticipated party with New Jersey’s vocal king of house, Kenny Bobien flying in for an Exclusive Live show alongside DJ Spen whilst in Room 2, Soul II Soul's Jazzie B kicks off an Exclusive set of stone cold late 80s/90s funk, soul, R'n B and dance music classics at iCan Studios.
For the past 5 years, Groove Odyssey have played host to many legendary DJs and Artists around the world as well as the best home-grown talent from the Soulful side of House Music including Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Kenny Dope, India, Kerri Chandler, Joey Negro, Ralf Gum, Josh Milan, Dajae, Julie McKnight and Monique Bingham joining UK residents, Bobby & Steve.
Alongside the events, Groove Odyssey Records has also a flourishing catelogue with numerous releases and two Sessions compilation albums (including Vol 2 mixed by Mr V), and this summer Groove Odyssey made its debut on the London festival scene hosting its own sold-out Arena at the Ceremony Festival in Finsbury Park.
Groove’s Odyssey’s illustrious Birthday celebrations feature in the main room soulful uplifting house beats headlined by Baltimore and former Basement Boys’ - DJ Spen, giving you his killer beats, alongside the UK’s finest, Rhemi Music’s Neil Pierce, Bristol’s Sean McCabe and Sheffield’s Groove Assassin joining
London residents, Bobby & Steve. Flying in for an exclusive performance is the Gospel man himself, Kenny Bobien, performing all his hits and more! Kenny is joined by Taliwa and Hanlei for a Groove Odyssey showcase where they will be performing some of the label’s hot new releases.
Room 2 is 80's & 90's Soul, RnB and Boogie headlined by Soul 2 Soul legend Jazzie B with full support from DJ Bigger, David Bailey and Lloyd Life and on The Terrace, there’s classic, deep and dirty House music fromLondon’s ultimate House station, HouseFm.net.
Ican studios is a state-of-the-art venue, situated 5 minutes from the Olympic Park. With a Funktion One sound system throughout, the venue also boasts a VIP mezzanine area with its own bar overlooking the main dance floor with a third room on the outside Terrace with a BBQ.
