To celebrate a momentous 25 years in music and theatre, Britain’s leading musical theatre star, multi-platinum recording artist, TV and radio presenter and Olivier Award winner, Michael Ball rounds off 2009 with the launch of his brand new “Michael Ball Past & Present Live at the Royal Albert Hall DVD” – the must have present everyone should find in their stocking this Christmas.
Michael releases an outstanding collection of his best known songs recorded in this most thrilling live concert at the Royal Albert Hall during his recent tour. Tell Me It’s Not True is from Willy Russell’s enduring musical Blood Brothers and fans’ favourite and fans will love Michael’s spine tingling version of The Winner Takes It All from Mamma Mia.
The concert opens and closes with show stopping hits The Impossible Dream, a great favourite with concert goers and taken from the Broadway production and film Man From La Mancha and from the popular Hairspray - You Can’t Stop The Beat.
The Prayer, Don’t Stop Me Now, Seasons of Love, Mack the Knife and Put a Little Love in your Heart feature alongside numerous other instantly recognizable songs along with Michael’s 1992 Eurovision entry, One Step Out Of Time and his own composition, Just When which was originally recorded for his ‘This Time It’s Personal’ album.
