I couldn't agree more with Anthony Masters. The Putney branch staff are clueless. My account was transferred there when another branch closed.

I wanted to invest some money. Went in for my appointment and the person I was supposed to meet was out. Spoke to someone else, filled out forms, etc. only to receive a written reply months later than I was ineligible for those type of investments because I'm not a UK resident which the staff in Putney knew.

I plan to move to another branch.

Well, this has to be the worst HSBC branch in London, so why is it still operating? For starters there is no automatic pay-in machine, and only one cash point outside and one inside. So the only way to pay in was to use the human beings there. Why would this be a problem? If you ever watched Little Britain and the bank/travel agents with the "assistant" who coughs and just says "computer says no", then what I found in Putney was a real life character of that skit. Unhelpful, useless and the misery on their faces says 'I hate customers'.

So HSBC London, when will you close t
