AVOID MIDDLESEX CABS EASTCOTE

Just sending a message out to all the neighbours on this forum.
AT ALL COST AVOID USING THIS COMPANY - I got a quote from Middx Cabs 184B Field End Road Ruislip 01895 808010 for a transfer from my home in North Harrow to go to Heathrow T5 in September (24th) which was £30 plus £5 for the parking, its a standard charge that Heathrow ask for from all taxis/cabs when dropping people off. After getting a few quotes from other local companies, I decided to use Middx Cabs so I phoned back and booked the collection reconfirming the cost and again was told £30+£5.

In my purse, I had a couple of £20 notes plus £5 and two £10's fully expecting to pay £35 which is what I was quoted. I made sure I had a £5 note incase driver didn't have change. To my shock, I was charged £40....driver said £35 plus the £5 parking. I didn't challenge it there and then as it was early morning and the usual excuse would be to ring the office, I didn't want my holiday to get of on a bad start so I decided to call them back on my return.

When I arrived back home on the 29th, I phoned Middx Cabs to make the complaint. The man in the office said its normally £35 plus £5 which I said was not what I was quoted, twice I was quoted £30 plus £5 and if you record calls you will see that's what I was told on both calls. He said, I will get someone to call you back. This has been going on for 3 weeks now and I have probably called them 4 times and each time I get fobbed off with excuse after excuse that someone will call me/manager/owner/HR will call you and no one ever does call me back.

Again this moring I called and complained because when I spoke to them on Thursday, I was promised HR would call me later in the morning. No one called me Thursday mornign or Friday and today was the last straw when he said owners were coming to get the paperwork for accounts and he would make sure someone calls me. They have no intention of calling me, these people are crooks and this message is awarning to stay well clear of Middx Cabs. If they were a reputuble company who care about their customers and reputation, they would refund me the cost of the journey. It's not even about the money, its not about the extra £5, right now its abaout the appalling way Middx Cabs treat their customers and its about their egregious behaviour and how little they think of their customers; customers who pay their bills and keep them in business.

I was a regular user of their services (once or twice per week for about three months). Their service was average, they left me waiting a few times but nothing serious. Everything changed one day when I had a very awkward experience with the controller shouting at me on the phone. I asked him to apologize and he refused to do it.

I have not used them since that day and definitively won't recommend anyone to use this company. If they have no manners they should be out of the market.

I been using midlesex radio cars for a long time now they have always been professional polite punctual every time all the time day or night.

I would just like to say as a regular user of Middlesex cabs, that I am very happy with the service they provides. No matter the day or night they are punctual, professional and reliable.
