St. James Cars

I recently had the misfortune of ordering a 7 setter car to transport me and 2 others with luggage to Gatwick airport only to be sent a driver in a saloon car. We managed to get us all in with luggage but it was an uncomfortable drive to the airport. Putting that aside I went ahead and booked a return again a 7 setter this time for 4 people with luggage but again a saloon car was sent.
(a) the driver (Yousaf) refused to drive to the pickup point because he didn't want to park so my visitors (some the first time to the UK) had to dragged their luggage across the road to meet him
(b) he complained about the number of luggage they had saying they should have ordered a 7 setter (which I did and paid for)
(c) he crammed them into the car for a 1.5hr to London
(d) he tried to charge them an extra £7 for each piece of luggage.
(e) On arrival he argued with them to the extent that one of my neighbours was so horrified by his behaviour that he was prepared to call the polic

A regular user of taxis, I praise and thank St. James Cars in particular for their punctuality, and their courteous and obliging drivers and office staff.
As St. James Cars is located on a very busy, often congested main road, I think the sensible traveller should allow for traffic eventualities when booking a pick-up time.

I have been let down by this company on the 7th of December. The taxi never turned up as requested, only arrived 2 hours later from another taxi company I still paid £35 i am waiting for the past two weeks for a call back and a refund. Not reliable, howful customers services the taxi driver hung up me leaving myself.and friends stuck in Stansted. DO NOT. USE THIS COMPANY!
