I first called at this shop circa 1982...and since then I've bought 2 alto saxophones, a flute, a viola, a bass recorder, a 5 string bass guitar, a drum kit and numerous leads, strings and accessories. I have also had 3 of my instruments repaired - the service is utterly superb and the prices extremely reasonable. I continue to use this shop today (2023) and I recommend it to any musician, from beginner to professional.

Shopped here exclusively in the 70's when Mr Jones was alive - excellent service & from what I hear, the same attention to detail remains in place!

So helpful, friendly and won’t try and rip you off. I happen to like the, let’s says, disorganised stock !

I wouldn't go anywhere else for my music bits and bobs. Full of charm and character. They have everything you need for day to day playing. New bits as well as an eclectic mix of instruments, speakers, keys, amps, etc. etc. The new stuff (strings, adapters, leads, pedals, etc.) are well organised and then there is a huge range (floor to ceiling with a corridor carved through) of equipment from years passed. Well worth a visit, feels like what a music shop should be.

Quite simply the best. Friendly, knowledgable and infinitely patient with newbies. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The music shop on Dalston lane is fantastic. Run by two friendly old rockers who really know their stuff it's one of the only places left where you can actually get your hifi, cables etc. repaired and trust that it will be done properly while costing less than buying new gear.
They sell loads of 2nd hand instruments as well as hifi components and you get a guarantee. A few years back I bought a roland SH101 synth in perfect condition at a decent price, which is still going strong. Last weekend I went in and they had another one as well as a juno, both of which are pretty rare.
