Well i have nothing but praise for this shop, i found out about it on the internet and i went down there to find out about a fretlights fitting service where they fit fretlights to the guitar, i found the owner Matt very friendly and helpful the prices were exreemly keen. yes it isnt exactly a boutique but i think it is honest. The trouble with some people is they expect ebay prices and brand new refit minamalist shops, get real! i like a friendly local music shop and lets face it there are precious few left! Matt spent ages going through what would be involved in the process and also let me try out several guitars i am happy to say i had the fretlights fitted and am very pleased and i bought a guitar from him too, yes i paid about £5 more than i could have got it on the net but the service was worth that. i will be using them regularly in the future. 5*

I have visited the shop many times as I live very locally, I havent purchased anything of value just strings and picks and I had a couple of pickguards made in there and I have to say the only reason I have used it for even these items is because its so close to me. Recently I have heard from a couple of people who have taken their sons guitars in for repair, one being a collectable 1985 fender strat which needed a bridge piece replaced, nothing major just a screw piece for the fine tuning. Without asking the "luthier" in the shop had drilled out the original bridge and fitted an unsightly and ill fitting screw piece. Of course the owners thought they were getting the guitar repaired not de-valued! I popped in there today to have a quick peek while I was in orpington and yet again I find the same old, its a very dirty shop that charges rediculous prices for "new" guitars that have never seen a duster. I "interrupted" the manafter standing like a lemon for over 5 mins as he was having a conversation with a buddy about bands he has seen and asked for a price on a Red Mexican fender strat that I had seen in there some months ago, thinking the price would have gone down due to the fact its been there so long and has filthy hardware and even chips on the paintwork, only to be told it is £625 with a smile!!!!!!! This is a classic example of an unwelcoming guitar shop who dont look after the products and still expect to sell ABOVE RRP on some items and look down on you when you dont buy an overpriced filthy "new" guitar that youve asked about! I do not recommend this shop at all for anything more than strings and picks as these are the only thing you can count on being fit for purpose!!

Nice little music shop in Orpington High street , They have a lot more guitars than other shops in the area , and realy good prices . I've taken my guitar into them 3 times now to be restrung , only £17.50 and allways comes back looking awsome!
