Catford Timber Co

I used Catford timber for the first time this week. I was really pleased with the service I received, both on the phone and in person. They are friendly, knowledgable, helpful and most importantly, they don't make you feel stupid if you're not sure what you want and need advice. The quality of the timber I bought was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Much better than any of the timber merchants I've used in London.

I needed a small peice of what i thought was wood cut to run a drawer , so many shops didnt do it, money carpenters wanted like £30 , Catford looked at it and cut it and provided me the little that i needed for nothing, it was a scrap literally but the gesture really touched me, made my day !

I have shopped in this timber yard in person and over the phone several times and found the staff are knowledgable, friendly, and do not talk down to you. They also take the time for explanations, for instance one of them explaned in detail the components of a feather edged fence and how to calculate the required amounts.

They also cut sheet material to exact size without extra charge, and deliver for free. A pleasure to deal with.
