Bought a very expensive door in 2014, with the 10yr warranty they offer.
Since 2017, when the company was sold to a new buyer, they now refuse to to honour any previous warranty, so now you will have to put any issues right yourself.
For a door that costs £3.5K+, that is just wrong. I would strongly advise avoiding these guys as they could easily sell again and you would be lift in the same position.

Required to site visits and finally the install which took half a day. Very pleasant people to deal with and the client was most impressed with the door. Highly recommended TLDC.

The London Door Company fitted me a beautiful new front door with frame in 2011 with which I was very pleased. The only problem was that it swelled in winter rains and became a bit difficult to open till it dried out in spring. But it was only this year, 2018, that it got bad enough for me to start worrying I may get trapped indoors so I phoned TLDC to ask if they had a repair service that could help. Their one year guarantee had long expired so I didn't expect the service for free. But at 8.30am the morning after my SOS call a fitter arrived, took the door off its hinges, planed down the bottom edged, re-sealed the edge and re-hung the door, all in about 40 mins. And at no cost. The door installation cost was pricey so one would expect some after sales service but I was impressed that they cared enough about their reputation and the state of their doors to come out and fix them so long after installation. I would certainly recommend TLDC for good quality doors.

I found the service from the London Door Company to be excellent from start to finish. They listened and understood exactly what I wanted, and although expensive, they are worth every penny. The doors are beautiful and of the highest quality. Sales rep through to fitter were friendly and professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We wanted to concert a window in the basement to french doors, but couldn't change the size of the opening. The London Door Company did an excellent job working out how to do this - I found the software they use very helpful because it covered everything, certainly things I wouldn't have considered if I'd been left to specify what we wanted (e.g. hinges). When the installation of the door proved more difficult than expected , they changed the frame to make everything work. Moreover, they'd also been able to make the door more quickly than the standard lead time, because we needed step-free access to the garden in time for a special party. All in all, this was a brilliant service and we're delighted with the result. We'll be going back for a new front door...

I've wanted a London Door Company front door for a long time and now I've finally got one! It looks fantastic and has already got lots of positive comments. We've definitely gone up several notches in the 'kerb-appeal' stakes.
The team at LDC couldn't be nicer. We had lots of questions and one or two niggles but they were sorted out with good grace and in good time.
If you want a top-flight front door then I'd totally recommend LDC. Who wants PVC or composite when you can have the real deal?

Our brief to reinstate a period 1930's front door and side windows with original detailing coupled with a contemporary finish was executed accurately, with the craftsmanship you would expect and all within a very reasonable lead time. Compared to other companies we engaged with offering a similar level service LDC was more attentive in their design, affable to changes and effective in their service. We have a front door to be proud of and well worth the investment. Thank you LDC!

Some years ago we made the massive mistake of buying a composite (plastic, let's be honest) front door. As well as looking pretty horrible in front of our lovely Victorian house, we had problem after problem with the locking system. We had no come back with the company who installed the door as they went bust!!!. Having recently forked out £400 for a new lock because the door handle fell off as I was trying to get in, we decided to end the stress of having a rubbish door and get something decent. I researched thoroughly and time after time came back to The London Door Company. After reading all the reviews, it was apparent that the biggest beef people had was the cost, and I know to my cost that you get exactly what you pay for. So thank you Gavin (wonderful advice, no hard sell whatsoever) Peter and Shane (thank you for always considering the cat) ) we are now the proud possessors of a truly magnificent looking, totally secure door. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

We were unsure about the difference in an 'off the peg' door versus and bespoke London Door Co door and spent a long time deliberating, mostly the cost. We eventually went for the latter and 6 months later still feel really pleased about the decision - it has totally elevated the experience of entering our house, it looks great, feels safe, somehow our hallway feels wider (and lighter) and the clunk of such a quality door closing is a joy to behold. We don't regret it one bit and it brings us happiness every day... and it's just a door! Lovely service and aftercare. Can't say enough nice things... and two of our neighbours now have them too.

After having the bad experience of having our front door kicked in by a burglar whilst we were in the house the search was on for solid, reliable security door.
Following much research on suitability and price we decided on The London Door Company. We were not disappointed. We have had the front door for some months now. It has greatly enhanced the look of our house as it is very stylish, but most of all it has given us the confidence we needed to feel safe in our home. Every day we are thankful that we have this door in place.

It has been a delight to use the London Door company. Not only did they have just the style and design of front door I was looking for but also were easy to contact, not just initially but each time I needed to speak to them, and always so helpful and charming. They delivered to Wiltshire with absolutely no problems. The door is stunning, exactly how I wanted it, fit perfectly first go and is a constant reassurance of quality every time I open it. I am truly delighted. Though this is one of the bigger extravagances I have made on my house it has been worth every penny.

We've just purchased our new front door from the London Door Company. The salesman Gavin was very professional and polite, giving recommendations without pushing our decision at all. The door itself was ready to be installed less than a month after we placed our order; we did have to email them to arrange our install date but it wasn't a big problem! The installer who did the job for us was fantastic - courteous, precise and cleaned up thoroughly. The door is beautiful, sturdy and, although more expensive than off-the-shelf, you can really feel the quality. Thank you LDC!!

I have just bought 2 front doors from the LDC and can thoroughly recommend them. Sales rep Jules came out promptly and advised on all points of consideration. Extremely quick delivery times, especially compared to competitors. The doors are not cheap but of high quality and if you need a door that withstands high temperature fluctuations, this is it. Installation happened before promised date and was done professionally, everything was delivered as promised. I wish everyone in the building sector was as reliable!

My company runs one of the oldest and most respected Interior Design Outfit in the heart of Chelsea. We contacted The London Door Company earlier this year 2015 to replace a client's door at the exclusive Pelham Crescent in Knightsbridge London SW7. Everyone from the sales executive who was followed about a week later by the company surveyor who later turns out to be the company's managing director down to the fitters were very professional.

The London Door Company is not a cheap option for your front door but if you can afford it, go nowhere else! I went to the showroom in Belmont where the salesperson even showed me how they made the doors and the type of wood they used!
A few days later I got a home visit from the designer who went through all available options (and you can have ANYTHING!) advising me on the things I wasn't sure about.
The fitter was equally helpful, an absolute perfectionist who paid attention to the smallest of details. The result: a perfect door which is the envy of the street!

The London Door Company does a fantastic job. We had both our main front door and lower ground floor doors done by them, incl. stained glass throughout the front door and door frame. Easily the best investment we've made on the house as we love it every time we go in/out. Wld absolutely recommend. They were quick, efficient and helpful.

Having recently suffered the considerable trauma of a burglary, the burglars completely smashed my front door also damaging the brickwork and frame. I called The London Door Company as they were recommended by my insurance company.
They came out promptly to measure up for my new door and made the whole process from the choosing to the finish stress free. The fitters, carpenter and painter who work for the company were polite, professional and helpful. I really feel that the whole team went beyond the bounds of the job description.

How much? I gasped at my wife?? but having had the door for 6 months, I can see we made an amazing investment. not only does it add kerb appeal, we actually believe the door added £10k on the price of my house; as it's the first moment someone enters the house that decides on their experience. Every time I leave the house I smile. I cant stop looking back at the door. The whole buying experience was second to none from expert design and opinions to a professional installation and after care. An excellent investment indeed. Really pleased with our LDC door. They were a pleasure to deal with, right down to the door fitters who were polite and efficient. We had not realised quite how flimsy and unsecure our previous door was until our LDC one arrived. The doors aren’t cheap but they told us we would love it when it was done and they were absolutely right.

I had a new front door fitted yesterday by the LDC and I cannot say how thrilled I am with the result. It has exceeded all my expectations (though they were high!!). The finished product is just so beautiful, it completely changes the front of our house and somehow seems a much more imposing front door than our previous one. Steve who installed the door couldn't have been nicer, left everything spotless and was so helpful in explaining everything to us. Gavin who helped me choose the style & brassware was hugely patient and provided great advice. It has revamped the front of our house!

We were unclear as to what we wanted, beyond quality craftsmanship, and Gavin (our Battersea point of contact) could not have been more helpful.
We had a lot of time and debate over what would work best and are over-the-moon with the finished product. Having had a black Victorian door for the last 13 years it still makes me smile, four weeks on, to be greeted by a mint green / chrome front door that fits perfectly with the facade and has a slight funky twis

Massive disappointment at their customer service. They were very prompt in coming when we showed interest in a front door. However, their service has shown very poor quality in two specific points: (i) they gave only one coat of paint. We were left with a tin to give the second coat ourselves. (ii) When now, only 3 years later, the door does not even close properly (something seems faulty in the hinges), they have not turned up. All I get is the promise to be called later on. When we were interested in having a door from them, there was no problem with the area where we were living in.

I've just had a new front door installed by the London door company and I have to say it looks fabulous and has transformed my property. The company were excellent to deal with. I felt the price was reasonable considering the high quality of product and service. The workmen who installed the door really showed excellent competency and it was obvious they take a pride in making things look perfect. I will most definitely be using them again for internal and patio doors.

They are too coy by far with regard to pricing. No information on the website nor over the phone. When I finally did make it to their showroom in Battersea (in a transport black hole, no less) it took me about 20 minutes to get them to even mention a price...and then it was £5,000. Obviously they are used to the Chelsea set and less interested in anyone else's business.

We recently ordered a bespoke front door and frame and two internal doors from the London Door Company and would like to put on record how pleased we are with the results. From the design process through to the installation, all the London Door Company employees, from the door fitters to the painters who applied the finishing touches, were all thoroughly professional and courteous. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company if you are looking for external and internal doors - we will certainly pick the phone up to them if we need any in future!

I would not recommend the London Door Co to anyone! Service was adequate until I paid the deposit and it went downhill from there. My tenants took time off of work to have the door measured and then 2 weeks later someone else had to come round and 'double check' the measurements - despite the door being urgent nothing was accomplished in these 2 weeks. Why on earth they sent someone who is obviously not qualified to take accurate measurements I'll never know. The London Door Co are slow, uncommunicative and generally pretty rude. The day that the door was due to be fitted (appx. 2 weeks late and after me chasing a number of times) I spoke with the chap in charge - he was so rude to me that I came off the phone feeling quite bruised - apparently my door was 'not his problem' and 'if I hadn't noticed it had been snowing'! Not the kind of response you'd expect after spending almost 2k on a door!!! When the door was finally installed I then discovered that it had been painted the wrong colour - I'm not quite sure how they got it so wrong, but there is an obvious lack of communication between the office and joiners. Since the installation (beg of Jan) I have written to the Manager and as of yet have had no response. I would not recommend the London Door Co to anyone if they want a reliable & professional company - unfortunately the LDC do not fit the bill.
